A growing civil litigation law firm is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its General Liability practice group in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general liability law, excellent writing, research, and litigation skills, and the ability to manage cases from start to finish. Location

Duties

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.

• Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.

• Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions.

• Draft and respond to discovery requests.

• Collaborate with expert witnesses for case preparation.

• Prepare for and attend trials.

• Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.

• Some travel may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in General Liability law.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.

• Admission to practice in Massachusetts (additional states a plus but not required).

• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong research abilities and written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent work ethic and the ability to self-manage while working within a team environment.

• Prompt response to email and phone inquiries.

• Exceptional client communication and telephone skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar (additional state admissions are a plus).
