Job Overview
A well-established law firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Discovery Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in advising clients and case teams throughout the discovery process, from preservation through production, and assisting with trial preparation when applicable. This role will involve managing case-specific workflows for eDiscovery with a focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility, all while ensuring consistency and accuracy across teams.

Duties

  • Advise and support case teams and clients throughout all phases of discovery, from preservation to production.
  • Oversee pre-litigation information governance, post-production deposition/witness preparation, and trial preparation as needed.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, technologists, and clients to create and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
  • Focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility in managing eDiscovery processes.
  • Oversee the work of junior attorneys, project attorneys, and service providers to ensure quality deliverables and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in eDiscovery and litigation support.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • eDiscovery certifications (e.g., Relativity Certified Pro, Certified E-Discovery Specialist) preferred.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other corporate messaging/collaboration tools.
  • Expertise with Relativity is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and workflows effectively.
