Title: Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Houston, TX, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Litigation group. This position offers an opportunity for growth and meaningful engagement within a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong science background, essential for effectively managing complex cases, particularly in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

Duties:

  • Communicate with clients and manage expectations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates.
  • Collaborate with experts to strengthen case development.
  • Assist in fact development and conduct depositions.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Help formulate and implement case strategy.
  • Maintain organized documentation and case files.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degree) required.
  • Experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is essential.
  • Admitted to practice in Texas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Proven problem-solving and research skills.
