Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm in Orlando, FL, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The firm specializes in a wide range of personal injury and property damage cases, including auto accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home abuse, and business property damage across Florida. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of trial experience and a strong commitment to serving clients with professionalism and dedication.

Duties:

• Represent clients in personal injury and property damage cases from pre-suit through trial or settlement.
• Manage a caseload of 35-40 cases with the support of paralegals and legal assistants.
• Prepare for and conduct jury trials across Florida, taking the lead as First Chair during trials.
• Handle general litigation tasks, including motion practice, discovery, and fact and expert witness depositions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff to ensure efficient case management and client service.
• Participate in seminars and workshops to continuously improve trial skills and legal knowledge.
• Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and ensuring the highest level of customer service.

Requirements:

• Full-time availability.
• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• A minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
• Demonstrated trial experience with First Chair responsibilities.
• Proficient in motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual candidates are a plus.
• Experience with SmartAdvocate® case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage heavy workloads while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Professionalism in client interaction and representation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent communication skills, both written and verbal.
