A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, excellent academic credentials, and a proven track record of managing multiple cases. This role requires a proactive individual who can serve as the point person on litigation, coordinate with associates and staff, and maintain effective communication with clients.

 

Job Duties:

  • Lead and manage complex commercial litigation and arbitration cases.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Coordinate litigation activities with other associates and support staff.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality legal documents.
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior partners.
  • Manage case deadlines and ensure all litigation tasks are completed timely.
  • Review and analyze legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, and motions.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
  • Mentor junior associates and provide guidance on legal matters and professional development.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in law firm or relevant in-house roles specializing in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Demonstrated experience handling multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Significant deposition and courtroom experience.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with associates, support staff, and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials are essential.

 

Certifications:

Must hold a valid Texas State Bar license.

 

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and analytical skills.
  • Strong writing skills for drafting clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective client and courtroom interactions.
