Duties:

  • Draft and organize various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, complaints, discovery, and demands, ensuring precision in spelling, grammar, format, and content.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and factual investigations to support case strategy.
  • Analyze relevant statutes, case law, legal articles, and documents to identify legal issues and develop appropriate strategies.
  • Assist in managing case calendars, scheduling depositions, mediations, and trial preparations.
  • Attend and represent clients at depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Collaborate with clients, counsel, and court personnel, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the litigation process.
  • Organize and maintain case files in the firm's case management system, ensuring efficient access and management of documents.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate filing of documents with the court.
  • Work closely with the administrative team to ensure proper communication and client education materials are distributed.
  • Participate in case negotiations and settlement preparations, advocating for the client’s best interests.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the Managing Attorney and the overall needs of the firm.

Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of litigation processes, court rules, terminology, motions, discovery, and evidence.
  • Prior experience with depositions, mediations, and hearings is highly preferred.
  • 2-5 years experience in personal injury litigation.preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software tools, including cloud-based case management platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive, organized, and self-motivated work approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • A positive, adaptable attitude with a capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of accuracy in data entry and document management.
  • Commitment to providing top-tier legal assistance and building long-lasting client relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
