A reputable law firm is currently seeking a highly motivated Career Associate Attorney to join its Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Practice Group. The firm is looking for individuals with substantial experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. Candidates should possess a deep understanding of insurance coverage matters, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers policies. This is an exciting opportunity for those who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative work environment while demonstrating independence and exceptional problem-solving skills.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in insurance and reinsurance litigation matters.
  • Provide legal counsel regarding coverage issues for professional liability, general liability, and D&O insurance.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.
  • Manage a caseload and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality legal work.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and represent clients in mediation or arbitration when applicable.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, particularly in professional liability, general liability, and D&O coverage.
  • Proven track record of effective legal writing and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong client-focused attitude with a passion for the legal profession.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (Massachusetts preferred).
