Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of substantive debt financing experience to join its Corporate Department in the Houston office. The ideal candidate will have strong deal experience in asset-based and leveraged acquisition financing, along with broad exposure to sophisticated debt transactions. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile deals with both domestic and international financial institutions and direct transactions, providing significant responsibility in leading portions of these deals.

Location:

  • Houston, TX

Duties:

  • Handle debt financing transactions, with a focus on asset-based and leveraged acquisition financing.
  • Work with a range of bank and non-bank financial institutions in syndicated and senior debt transactions.
  • Manage and lead significant portions of financing transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including credit agreements and related documentation.
  • Advise clients on complex financing structures involving domestic and international credit facilities.
  • Collaborate with teams across different practice areas to support multifaceted transactions.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in debt financing, specifically asset-based and leveraged acquisition financing.
  • Experience working on syndicated and senior debt transactions with financial institutions.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Ability to manage and lead significant parts of complex transactions.
  • Admitted to and in good standing with the Texas Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in asset-based and leveraged financing transactions.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-profile transactions simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with other attorneys and professionals.
