Job Overview: A well-established law firm is currently seeking a skilled Bankruptcy Attorney for its office in Greater Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves managing a caseload under the guidance of senior attorneys, handling Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases, and representing clients in court proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research and drafting skills, as well as a detailed understanding of bankruptcy laws and procedures.

Location:

  • Cleveland, Ohio

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, including preparation and filing of necessary legal documents.
  • Represent clients in bankruptcy court proceedings and hearings.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions and legal briefs.
  • Travel to outlying courts as required.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure accurate and timely case management.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations to provide clients with accurate legal counsel.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience handling bankruptcy cases.
  • Proven experience in representing clients in bankruptcy court proceedings.
  • Strong understanding of Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy laws and procedures.
  • Ability to manage individual cases under the supervision of senior attorneys.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Ohio Bar is required.
