Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in the Greater Los Angeles area is seeking a dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney with experience in Consular Processing. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law and will manage a caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of legal professionals. Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Manage a workload of Consular Processing (CP) and Waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visas
  • Prepare clients for consulate interviews
  • Represent clients before USCIS
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of immigration applications and packets
  • Manage a team of paralegals to meet productivity goals and client expectations
  • Provide legal analysis to clients regarding potential case benefits
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

Requirements:

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law
  • Strong ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to strategy and case management
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Consular Processing applications and Waivers
  • Proficiency with Case Management Software preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic solutions
  • Proficiency in legal writing, research, and drafting legal documents
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team of paralegals
