Entry Level Immigration Attorney

A premier law firm in the Las Vegas area is seeking an Entry Level Immigration Attorney to join its expanding team. This position involves managing a caseload, interacting with clients, and collaborating with a dedicated team of immigration attorneys and legal assistants.

Location:

• Las Vegas, NV

Duties:

• Explain immigration law concepts and develop strategic solutions for clients
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage a caseload of immigration matters
• Conduct intakes with detained individuals at immigration centers
• Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
• Review and adjust immigration applications and packets as necessary
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on updates to immigration law
• Meet with potential clients for consultations and devise appropriate legal strategies
• Develop and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony
• Provide legal analysis to clients regarding the potential benefits of their cases
• Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience in Immigration Law
• Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage client relationships
• Proven ability to handle and advance legal cases
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR, Detained Cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
• Experience using Case Management Software preferred

Education:

• J.D. (Juris Doctor) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law

Certifications:

• Bar membership in good standing

• Strong understanding of immigration law and procedures
• Ability to develop legal strategies and solve complex issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases and meet deadlines
• Proficient with case management software and other legal tools
