Job Overview: A respected law firm is seeking a full-time attorney to join its fast-paced Commercial Litigation and Employment Law Practice Group. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and engaging legal matters. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or employment law, with a track record of handling jury trials, extensive depositions, and complex motions.

Duties:

  • Handle commercial litigation and employment law cases.
  • Lead and participate in jury trials, depositions, and court proceedings.
  • Draft and argue complex legal motions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on challenging legal matters within the practice group.
  • Engage with clients and maintain strong professional relationships.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or employment law.
  • Experience in conducting jury trials, depositions, and arguing complex motions.
  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to generate new business or bring existing clients to the firm is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing and research abilities.
  • Strong oral advocacy and courtroom experience.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple complex cases.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Business development skills are a plus.
