A law firm in Portland, OR, is seeking a Mid-level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, the ability to work independently, and possess strong advocacy abilities. This role requires a motivated individual with superior academic credentials and exceptional communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on intellectual property issues and patent litigation.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, patents, and agreements.
  • Provide counsel and strategic advice to clients on intellectual property matters.
  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on case strategy and management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting intellectual property.
  • Participate in business development and networking activities to attract and retain clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the State Bar is required.
  • 3-7 years of experience in intellectual property and/or patent litigation.
  • Highly motivated with excellent academic credentials.
  • Superior writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Education:

A Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.
