A law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate Associate Attorney - Tax to join its dynamic team in Florham Park, NJ. The candidate will work on cross-office tax and corporate transactional teams, providing comprehensive legal support on U.S. federal income tax matters.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice on U.S. federal income tax matters related to corporate transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-office tax and corporate transactional teams to support complex deals.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on tax issues.
  • Draft and review tax-related documents and agreements.
  • Advise clients on tax planning strategies and compliance.
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating tax aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and inform clients accordingly.
  • Support senior attorneys in developing and implementing tax-efficient strategies for clients.
  • Prepare and present legal opinions and memoranda on tax issues.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of law firm experience in U.S. federal income tax matters.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-office teams.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the New Jersey State Bar.

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal income tax laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.
