Duties

  • Manage bankruptcy cases from initial filing to resolution, including the preparation of necessary legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and creditor meetings, ensuring strong advocacy.
  • Handle contested matters, collaborating with other attorneys to develop case strategies.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records on case progress, deadlines, and client communications.
  • Communicate with clients regularly, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
  • Analyze legal issues and provide advice on bankruptcy-related matters.
  • Work with senior attorneys to gain knowledge and expand expertise in bankruptcy law.
  • Develop and execute strategies for case resolution, including negotiation and settlement where applicable.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, especially when facing time-sensitive tasks.
  • Ensure all work meets the firm's high standards of quality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of legal experience, with a strong interest in bankruptcy law (prior bankruptcy experience is not required but preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client interaction and clear, concise reporting.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred but not mandatory.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
