Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is looking to hire an Associate Attorney to join their Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group. The successful candidate will work as part of an IP Litigation team, handling complex patent cases, including motions, depositions, and case management. Duties:

• Manage IP litigation matters, including taking depositions, conducting motions practice, and overseeing expert witness preparation.
• Handle case management and trial preparation, including coordinating with various stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals to ensure effective case progression.
• Work on PTAB and trial proceedings, providing strategic legal advice and counsel.
• Draft and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and other filings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and teams on IP-related matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of IP litigation experience, with a strong background in briefing, motions practice, and depositions.
• Proven track record of managing cases and leading teams of associates or paralegals.
• Experience in PTAB or trial proceedings is highly preferred.
• An engineering degree and USPTO admission are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Must be licensed to practice law in California or have the ability to obtain licensure shortly after employment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California (or eligibility to become licensed).

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Leadership skills for supervising junior team members.
• Strategic thinking in handling complex legal matters.
