Job Overview

A reputable law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Counsel to join its Intellectual Property Practice Group. This role involves providing strategic legal solutions for clients in trademark, copyright, and entertainment-related litigation. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IP litigation and demonstrate the ability to excel in a dynamic, client-oriented environment.

Location

Duties

  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.

  • Manage and respond to complex discovery requests.

  • Confer, negotiate, and communicate effectively with opposing counsel.

  • Conduct and defend depositions.

  • Prepare and present oral arguments at hearings.

  • Develop trial strategies, including preparing exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, motions in limine, and witness preparation.

  • Prepare appellate briefs.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in trademark, copyright, and entertainment litigation and counseling.

  • Experience in drafting and responding to pleadings, discovery, and motions.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle depositions, work with experts, and manage litigation strategy.

  • Trial experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Strong academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
