Consumer Financial Services Career Attorney

A law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a Consumer Financial Services Career Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate should possess consumer finance experience, with additional experience in areas such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) being a plus.

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Representing clients in consumer financial services litigation matters, including cases involving FDCPA, FCRA, and RESPA
• Conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing for court appearances
• Participating in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations
• Managing client relationships and communicating effectively with stakeholders
• Collaborating with other attorneys and support staff on case management and strategy

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar in good standing
• 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on consumer financial services
• Strong academic and professional credentials
• Admissions to other state Bars a plus
