Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of pre-trial litigation for defense cases
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Manage and prioritize a caseload of litigation defense matters
  • Represent clients in court appearances and legal events in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
  • Communicate complex legal issues effectively to clients and colleagues
  • Utilize legal research tools (Westlaw, iManage, etc.) and document management systems
  • Assist senior attorneys with case strategy and preparation for trial
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop defense strategies

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of litigation defense experience
  • Active Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar membership (New York and Florida Bar admission is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and federal court rules and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and legal research tools (Westlaw or similar)
  • Experience with document management systems (iManage or similar)
  • Strong research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to travel for court appearances and legal events in PA and NJ

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar admission
  • Additional Bar admissions (New York and Florida) are a plus
