Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled Securities Attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in a professional track (non-partnership track) role. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with 6+ years of experience in managing structured securities offerings, with a focus on commercial real estate law, including real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. The ideal candidate will represent public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors in a variety of complex transactions, such as acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and financings. This role is open to multiple U.S. office locations and provides flexibility, competitive compensation, and career growth potential.

Location:

  • Raleigh, NC

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage structured securities offerings in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Advise clients on real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and complex financings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and provide solutions to complex legal issues.
  • Represent various clients, including real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors, in large-scale commercial real estate projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop strategies and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
  • Provide high-quality, timely legal services while managing multiple, competing deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in managing structured securities offerings.
  • Strong background in commercial real estate law, particularly in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Preferred experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm.
  • Proven ability to manage complex legal transactions and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
