Job Overview

A well-regarded law firm is seeking a Lateral Associate to join its M&A and Private Equity teams. This role involves advising corporate clients and private equity funds on a variety of transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and minority investments. Duties

  • Advise corporate clients and private equity funds on acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, and similar transactions
  • Draft transaction documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of M&A transactions and general corporate matters
  • Engage directly with clients to provide legal guidance and develop professional relationships
  • Collaborate with the team on business development initiatives

Requirements

  • Law school graduation years from 2017 to 2020
  • Significant experience handling M&A transactions, including understanding market terms and corporate law principles
  • Proven track record in effective transaction document drafting and deal management
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and a business development mindset

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Bar Admission in good standing in California (or eligibility for admission)
