This full-time role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of legal matters, including family law, criminal defense, civil litigation, and estate planning. Waynesville, North Carolina
Conduct new client consultations and intake assessments
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions
Research legal issues and prepare cases for litigation
Draft legal documents, motions, and pleadings
Review active case files and develop case strategies
Maintain ongoing communication with clients in person, via phone, and virtually
Collaborate with assigned case managers and team members
Provide exceptional client service throughout the legal process
Manage a high volume caseload from inception to resolution
Participate in internal training and mentorship programs
Licensed to practice law in North Carolina and in good standing
Comfortable handling litigation and appearing in court
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Client-focused with a service-oriented mindset
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of cases
Prior law firm or litigation experience preferred, but not required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active and good-standing membership with the North Carolina State Bar
Strong legal research and writing capabilities
Confident courtroom presence and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage deadlines and multitask effectively
Empathy and professionalism in client interactions
Comfortable with technology and legal practice software
