Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have an interest in learning litigation cases related to computer science or electrical engineering, with a technical degree being a plus. They should also possess experience in providing technical litigation support, including preparing invalidity contentions and charts, as well as preparing infringement contentions and charts. Strong academic credentials, superior writing ability, a quick-study aptitude, ability to engender client confidence, and thrive in a creative, entrepreneurial, and collegial environment are essential. Admission to the California Bar is required.

Duties:

• Conducting legal research and analysis related to patent litigation cases.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Providing technical litigation support, including preparing invalidity contentions and charts, and preparing infringement contentions and charts.
• Assisting with all phases of patent litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborating with clients, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in patent litigation.
• Interest in computer science or electrical engineering.
• Technical degree preferred.
• Admission to the California Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Technical degree in computer science or electrical engineering preferred.
