A law firm in West Palm Beach is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of labor and employment defense experience. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in both employment counseling and litigation before federal and state courts and government agencies. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills are essential. The successful candidate will be adept at counseling employers on labor and employment law issues, conducting investigations, and drafting various legal documents. A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in The Florida Bar are required.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counseling to employers on a wide range of labor and employment law issues.
  • Represent clients in employment litigation before federal and state courts, as well as government agencies.
  • Conduct witness interviews and internal investigations to support employment-related cases.
  • Draft position statements, employment agreements, separation agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and review employee handbooks, policies, and compliance materials.
  • Support clients in employment-related litigation, including managing discovery and preparing for hearings and trials.
  • Advise clients on best practices for managing employment law issues and mitigating legal risks.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of labor and employment defense experience.
  • Proven experience in employment counseling and litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with federal and state court proceedings and government agency matters.
  • Ability to handle complex cases and provide strategic legal advice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in The Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in labor and employment law, including both litigation and counseling.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting thorough legal research.
