Job Overview:
A leading mortgage creditor rights firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney for its Overland Park, Kansas office. The firm specializes in real estate and mortgage lender representation. The ideal candidate will have up to three years of experience in real estate matters, with a focus on mortgage-related legal issues. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while providing valuable legal services to clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, drafting legal documents, and providing client support.

Location:

Duties:

  • Collaborate with legal staff to coordinate case management and case progression.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.
  • Review and analyze client documents in relation to real estate and mortgage matters.
  • Attend legal proceedings, conduct legal analysis, and provide legal advice under the guidance of experienced lawyers.
  • Provide exceptional client service, maintaining regular communication and updates on case statuses.
  • Manage a substantive caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed by the Kansas Bar and willing to become licensed in Missouri and Kentucky.
  • Ideal candidate will have zero to three years experience in real estate matters.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent people skills, as the role requires frequent client interaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in case management.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Kansas Bar membership required (Missouri and Kentucky Bar memberships will be required as well).
