Duties:

  • Represent tribes, tribal entities, and tribal members in litigation related to tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination.
  • Litigate complex commercial and construction disputes.
  • Participate in trial work, depositions, hearings, and oral arguments.
  • Draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and other court filings.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and provide detailed analysis.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other teams on case strategies.
  • Manage multiple cases, ensuring high attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in litigation, with an emphasis on Federal Indian Law and administrative law.
  • Experience with trial work, depositions, hearings, and oral arguments is a plus.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation and commercial disputes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
