Duties:

  • Manage and lead complex commercial litigation and arbitration cases.
  • Handle multiple cases and regulatory/compliance matters, ensuring quality service to clients.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for litigation and counseling, coordinating with associates and staff.
  • Provide expert legal counsel to clients, especially on regulatory and compliance issues related to managed care and healthcare industries.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys in strategic case management, including preparation, filings, and hearings.
  • Represent clients in government investigations and False Claims Act cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Assist in internal and external communications related to client matters and ongoing cases.
  • Provide legal analysis and practical advice on complex legal issues affecting managed care organizations.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, preferably with managed care or healthcare-related matters.
  • Strong background in litigation, including case management, client interaction, and counseling.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority matters simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and explain complex issues clearly.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with regulatory issues and compliance matters related to the managed care sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Certifications:

  • California State Bar License (active and in good standing).

Skills:

  • Commercial litigation experience, ideally in managed care or healthcare industries.
  • Legal research and writing expertise.
