A law firm in Austin, TX is seeking a Briefing and Research Attorney to assist in the preparation of personal injury cases. The candidate will work closely with trial attorneys, drafting various legal documents, conducting legal research, and providing support during trial proceedings. This role offers an opportunity to learn proper techniques and strategies for the development of plaintiff personal injury cases.

 

Duties:

  • Assist trial attorney in preparing personal injury cases.
  • Draft discovery requests and responses, pleadings, motions, and responses to motions.
  • Conduct research for depositions and trial preparation.
  • Provide assistance to the trial attorney during trial proceedings.
  • Learn proper techniques and strategies for developing plaintiff personal injury cases.

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed attorney in the State of Texas and in good standing.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams.
  • Previous customer service/sales experience preferred.
  • After-hours on-call experience is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Licensed attorney in the State of Texas.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Customer service and sales skills.
  • Flexibility for after-hours on-call duty.

 

Experience:

0-3 years of personal injury experience.
