Associate Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Associate Litigation Attorney to join its team in Edison, New Jersey. Duties

• Manage a caseload of litigation matters, focusing on liability defense and insurance coverage issues.
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on strategic legal initiatives.
• Provide clients with regular case updates and offer expert legal advice.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and other dispute-resolution processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, specifically liability defense and/or insurance coverage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• NJ Bar admission is required; NY or PA Bar admission is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar admission in New Jersey.
• Additional Bar admissions (NY or PA) are a plus.
