The successful candidate will assist with a variety of legal tasks, including legal research, document drafting, case management, and court appearances. Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials to represent clients in various litigation matters.
  • Assist in case management, ensuring that files are organized, updated, and compliant with firm protocols.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials, ensuring readiness for court appearances.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and assist with trial preparation.
  • Provide legal advice to clients and maintain regular communication to update them on case developments.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to litigation, ensuring all deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Florida.
  • Experience in litigation is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills with the ability to draft clear, concise legal documents.
  • Solid oral advocacy skills for court hearings and client representation.
  • Familiarity with legal administrative tasks, including case management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A commitment to superior work ethics and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in legal research and analysis.
