Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney to join its team in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, with significant experience in class action defense, complex commercial litigation, and securities or consumer litigation. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills and be adept at managing a multi-matter docket. This role requires a collaborative team player who can work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Communication:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Answer phone calls and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.

• Work Product:

  • Produce timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Ensure all work meets deadlines and firm expectations.

• Relationship Management:

  • Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external contacts.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.

• Compliance and Administration:

  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Proven experience managing a multi-matter docket.
  • Demonstrated experience with class action defense.
  • Extensive experience with complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation.
  • Previous federal clerkship is preferred.
