A law firm in Naples is seeking a Senior Trust and Estates Associate Attorney with substantial experience in estate planning and administration. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience managing client relationships and handling complex estate planning matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive estate planning services to clients with taxable estates, focusing on multi-generational wealth transfer strategies.
  • Draft and implement various estate planning instruments, including GST-exempt trusts, GRATs, SLATs, and IDGTs.
  • Handle post-mortem administration and estate settlement processes efficiently.
  • Prepare and review tax returns such as Forms 706 (Estate Tax), 709 (Gift Tax), and 1041 (Trust and Estate Income Tax).
  • Advise clients on sophisticated wealth preservation and asset protection strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with firm partners and colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations affecting estate planning.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing in the field of trust and estates law.
  • Proven track record of managing complex estate planning matters independently.
  • Strong understanding of tax implications related to estate planning and administration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate across different practice areas.
  • Exceptional client management skills and a commitment to providing personalized service.

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced degree in taxation (LL.M. in Taxation) is a plus.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients and family-owned businesses.
