Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a highly skilled mid-level to senior associate with at least 3 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, strategic alliances, and corporate restructurings. The role involves working on both domestic and international transactions across diverse industries, such as technology, aerospace, defense, life sciences, consumer goods, automotive, and energy. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in M&A, securities, and venture capital/private equity financings, and possess the interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with clients and lead teams.

Duties:

  • Lead and support M&A, joint ventures, and strategic transactions.
  • Manage cross-border transactions, collaborating with clients and internal teams.
  • Oversee due diligence and negotiation processes for complex deals.
  • Advise clients on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters.
  • Mentor and supervise junior associates to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments, including relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in M&A and corporate law.
  • Experience in handling cross-border transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters and client relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in supervising junior associates.

Education:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Must be a member of the Bar in the U.S.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • High level of proficiency in legal research and drafting.
