Senior Associate Attorney Family Law

Duties:

• Handle complex family law cases, including divorce, child custody disputes, and spousal support.
• Draft marital settlement agreements and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in litigation, mediation sessions, and court appearances.
• Conduct legal research and provide expert legal advice to clients.
• Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and ensure successful outcomes.
• Facilitate and guide clients through mediation and settlement negotiations.
• Travel for court appearances and client meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in family law.
• Strong expertise in drafting marital settlement agreements and handling complex family law litigation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and legal team members.
• Ability to travel for court appearances, client meetings, and mediations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of California (required).

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of California family law, including divorce, custody, and support issues.
• Strong litigation and courtroom skills, with experience in high-stakes family law cases.
• Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
