A law firm seeks a motivated Family Law Associate Attorney to join its team in Hinsdale, IL. This position offers the flexibility of both part-time and full-time work, providing the opportunity to work independently while handling various family law matters. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing a busy caseload and adept at navigating the complexities of family law.

Duties

  • Review, draft, and file legal documents related to family law cases.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and gather information.
  • Attend court hearings virtually and in person across various jurisdictions surrounding Chicago, including DuPage, Will, Kane, Lake, and Cook counties.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare complaints, notices, petitions, motions, and responses.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop effective legal strategies.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the Illinois Bar.
  • 1 to 7 years of experience in a family law setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, and court filing systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting to surrounding counties.
  • Knowledge of the Polish language is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Illinois Bar.
