Job Overview:
A law firm in Newport, NE, seeks a driven Associate Attorney with an active Delaware State Bar membership. The role involves representing clients in foreclosure processes and handling related litigation matters. Duties:

  • Represent clients at all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested cases
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of all prerequisites before initiating actions (loan documents, financials, demand letters)
  • Draft and evaluate legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence to commence and sustain foreclosure actions
  • Perform legal research and analyze relevant statutes, case law, and regulatory requirements
  • Attend and present at court hearings; liaise with opposing counsel as needed
  • Maintain and update internal client systems with findings, documentation, and strategic recommendations
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Manage and prioritize a significant workload to meet firm, client, and court deadlines
  • Utilize case management systems to ensure compliance with all deadlines
  • Ensure adherence to state, federal, and local legal and regulatory standards related to foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Delaware State Bar
  • Admission to federal and bankruptcy courts in Delaware (preferred)
  • Prior experience in foreclosure and litigation (preferred)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Delaware state and federal courts required

Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with electronic case management systems (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
