Job Overview: A law firm specializing in estate planning is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join their team in Pensacola, FL. The ideal candidate will assist clients in preparing for the future by drafting essential estate planning documents and providing knowledgeable legal counsel on tax implications and asset distribution strategies.

Duties:

  • Draft various estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Conduct thorough client interviews to understand their personal circumstances, goals, and objectives for their estates.
  • Assist clients with tax planning considerations to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Perform legal research on complex estate planning issues and prepare memoranda outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Manage client files and ensure all necessary documentation and paperwork are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to clarify legal terms, explain options, and guide the estate planning process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 0-5 years of experience in estate planning, including drafting wills and trusts.
  • Strong understanding of tax implications related to estate planning.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely to clients.

  • Experience with estate administration and probate proceedings.
