Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Mid-Level Investment Funds Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience and be adept at handling investment fund matters, both domestic and international.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and promptly reply to correspondence.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission in Washington, DC.
  • 3+ years of experience in investments in, or the formation of, domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
  • Experience with secondary transactions, structuring separately managed accounts, and structuring carry vehicles preferred.
