Job Overview:
A law firm specializing in immigration matters is seeking a dedicated and proactive Immigration Associate Attorney to join their team. Location:

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage family-based and/or employment-based immigration cases under the supervision of Partners
  • Handle family-based permanent residency and naturalization applications
  • Manage consular processing of immigrant visa applications
  • Work on removal defense and waiver cases
  • Process humanitarian-based applications, including asylum, VAWA, U visa, TPS, and DACA applications
  • Prepare and submit non-immigrant visa petitions (E-2, E-3, H-1B, H-2B, L-1, O-1, P-1, Q-1, R-1, TN) and port of entry packages
  • Manage Temporary and Permanent Labor Certification applications with the Department of Labor (DOL)
  • Process employment-based permanent residency applications
  • Communicate with clients, attend client meetings, and conduct consultation meetings with prospective clients under supervision
  • Provide legal guidance to clients and assist in case management

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience as an Immigration Attorney
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and case management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and pay attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Spanish is required
  • Flexibility, patience, eagerness to learn, and a good sense of humor

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state (Colorado bar license preferred)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
  • Ability to manage complex immigration cases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with clients
  • Proficiency in Spanish
  • Proficiency in immigration case management software (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
