Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney
Job Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid Work Option Available)

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is currently seeking a motivated and self-starting Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Fire Litigation and/or Trial departments. This attorney will play a critical role in advocating for clients' rights, both in and out of the courtroom, while delivering top-tier legal services. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal acumen, be highly organized, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Duties:

  • Manage discovery processes, including propounding and responding to written discovery, as well as taking and defending depositions.
  • Draft, review, and prepare complex legal documents, such as pleadings and motions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and client representation.
  • Make court appearances, from status conferences to trials.
  • Contribute to case strategy discussions and provide innovative solutions to complex legal challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues to ensure smooth case progression.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to assist with case management and strategy development.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar license.
  • 2-4 years of experience in litigation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with E-Discovery and law software (e.g., Sharefile, PACER, Lexis, Everlaw, FileVine, OneLegal).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Familiarity with litigation tools and case management software.
  • Strong multitasking and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
