Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is currently seeking a Mid-Level Tax Associate to join its dynamic and collaborative team. This role focuses on a wide range of federal tax matters, including transactional structuring, renewable energy financing, and tax controversy. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of relevant experience and an interest in supporting corporate clients across multiple industries. Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice on federal tax implications for complex business transactions

  • Assist in structuring mergers, acquisitions, fund formations, and financings

  • Advise on renewable energy financing transactions and related tax credits

  • Represent clients in tax controversy matters at the federal, state, and local levels

  • Draft legal memoranda, tax opinions, and transactional documents

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on cross-practice initiatives

  • Conduct legal research and remain up-to-date on evolving tax laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in federal tax law

  • Experience with both transactional tax planning and tax controversy matters

  • Familiarity with renewable energy financing structures preferred

  • Strong project management skills and ability to work across teams

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, client-focused legal work

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • Must be in good standing with relevant state bar(s)
