Duties and Responsibilities:

• Client Interaction:

  • Conduct initial consultations, establishing rapport and trust with clients.
  • Collect and document essential details concerning liability, damages, and coverage for each case.
  • Develop a clear action plan for each case, outlining both client and firm responsibilities.

• Investigation & Case Development:

  • Oversee and direct investigations, ensuring strong case preparation for trial.
  • Analyze insurance coverage and gather key evidence to support clients’ claims.

• Negotiation & Settlement:

  • Prepare cases for trial and evaluate their full settlement value.
  • Negotiate with insurance adjusters and opposing parties, advocating strategically for fair compensation.
  • Pursue litigation when settlement is not achievable, guiding clients through the legal process.

• Litigation & Trial Preparation:

  • Draft pleadings and discovery documents for lawsuits.
  • Develop and implement trial strategies, including preparation for mediation or arbitration.

• Team Collaboration & Support:

  • Review and approve documents and correspondence prepared by team members.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork to ensure cases progress smoothly.

Requirements:

• Strong litigation and negotiation skills, with a strategic approach to case resolution.
• Ability to handle high-volume caseloads with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• The compassionate, client-focused mindset with a passion for justice.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• In-depth understanding of personal injury law, including litigation and settlement processes.
• Proficient in legal research, case management, and software tools.
