This role involves providing expert counsel on security incidents, data breach response, and compliance with state and federal data privacy regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with experience handling forensic data breach investigations and litigation.

Duties:

  • Counsel clients on data breach and security incident response.
  • Guide state and federal data privacy and security laws.
  • Handle enforcement actions and investigations by regulatory bodies.
  • Assist with drafting and negotiating technology contracts and compliance documents.
  • Represent clients in data privacy litigation, including discovery management, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Draft legal briefs and other critical motions.
  • Coordinate forensic investigations and develop privacy and security plans.
  • Advise on data mapping and enterprise-wide privacy strategies.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney in cybersecurity and data privacy.
  • Expertise in handling security breaches and data privacy compliance.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state privacy and cybersecurity regulations.
  • Proven experience in forensic data breach investigations.
  • Skilled in litigation management, including depositions, discovery, and drafting briefs.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials are essential.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Massachusetts (required).
