Duties:

• Represent clients in business and commercial bankruptcy matters, with an emphasis on creditor-side cases.
• Manage complex bankruptcy cases independently from inception to resolution.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients navigating bankruptcy proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, drafting motions, and other legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in hearings and trials.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, with a focus on business development.
• Work collaboratively with a team of legal professionals to support case progression.
• Stay updated on changes in bankruptcy laws and related regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bankruptcy law, with a focus on business and commercial bankruptcy.
• Proven experience in handling complex bankruptcy cases, particularly in creditor-side representation.
• Ability to independently manage a substantial caseload.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• A portable book of business is highly valued.
• Established a professional network within the Houston legal community, especially within the bankruptcy bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
