Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on land use and redevelopment matters.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to land use and zoning.
  • Represent clients in applications before municipal planning and zoning boards.
  • Advise clients on county, state, and federal permitting requirements compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies for securing approvals for redevelopment projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze case law related to land use and redevelopment.
  • Assist clients with property acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
  • Handle disputes and litigation related to land use and zoning issues.
  • Collaborate with municipal officials, planners, and other stakeholders to advocate for clients' interests.
  • Keep abreast of land use laws and regulations changes, ensuring clients receive up-to-date advice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of land use experience with a private law firm in New Jersey.
  • Admission to practice law in New Jersey.
  • Demonstrated experience with applications before municipal planning and zoning boards.
  • Knowledge of county, state, and federal permitting processes.
  • Experience with redevelopment project approvals is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
