Job Overview:
A respected law firm located in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking a talented and experienced IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex patent litigation cases, with a focus on case management, legal research, and trial proceedings. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience and the ability to lead cases while managing junior associates and paralegals.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of IP litigation, including briefing, motions practice, and depositions.
• Lead case management and trial preparation for IP-related cases, including patent disputes.
• Work closely with experts, manage discovery, and assist with PTAB or trial proceedings.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals to ensure efficient case management.
• Provide strategic input in legal strategies and approaches for patent litigation matters.
• Prepare and present legal arguments and motions in court.
• Conduct client meetings and keep them informed on case progress and developments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IP litigation, with a focus on patent law.
• Proven track record of managing cases and leading litigation teams.
• Strong background in briefing, motion practice, and deposition-taking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• An engineering degree is preferred.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar or the ability to become licensed in California.
• USPTO admission is a plus.

Skills:

• Expertise in IP litigation and patent law.
