This full-time, on-site position involves handling various business transactions, including drafting and negotiating agreements, with a focus on providing high-quality legal services. The firm offers a collaborative work environment, with the unique benefit of no billable hours requirement and early office closures on Fridays.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal agreements, including shareholder agreements, stock option plans, buy-sell agreements, employment contracts, and settlement/release documents
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on business transaction matters
  • Work independently on transactional matters, managing client relationships and expectations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of exceptional legal services
  • Stay current on legal developments in business law and apply them effectively in practice

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transactional business law
  • Experience in negotiating and preparing business-related agreements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision on complex legal matters

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member of the State Bar of California
