Job Overview:

The Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Attorney will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients while effectively managing their expectations. They will oversee all aspects of pre-litigation case management, ensuring timely completion of tasks, adherence to matter plans, and maximizing settlements/verdict amounts. Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of Louisiana law are essential for this role.

 

Duties:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and manage client expectations
  • Follow the Matter Plan for each assigned case and complete tasks accurately and timely
  • Review and approve email correspondence, supporting documents, pleadings, and written discovery
  • Conduct depositions and attend court hearings as needed
  • Assist with trial preparation
  • Review and approve medical treatment and expenses for clients within specified limits
  • Review and approve client disbursals
  • Provide guidance and timely answers to case handling paralegals' questions
  • Attend mediations on behalf of clients
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of quantum and medical records, bills, and history
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Louisiana law and the firm's systems and processes

 

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of litigation experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • College degree
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Louisiana
  • Admission to all federal and state courts in Louisiana
  • Leadership skills

 

Education/Certifications:
