Associate Attorney needed for Philadelphia office

A Philadelphia-based litigation firm focusing on first-party insurance and property damage claims is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its legal team. This role offers hands-on litigation experience in a collegial, supportive environment, with the opportunity to manage a personal caseload from intake through resolution. Location

Duties

• Handle a personal caseload from intake through settlement or trial

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and discovery responses

• Attend and conduct depositions, arbitrations, and court hearings

• Participate in oral arguments and settlement negotiations

• Maintain strong and professional communication with clients

• Oversee and manage a dedicated case manager

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation and strategy

Requirements

• 2–5 years of civil litigation experience

• Experience in insurance litigation is a plus

• Must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey

• Willingness to obtain bar admission in the other state, if not already licensed

• Additional bar admissions in MD, NY, VA, or OH are considered a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active bar license in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey (required)

• Bar admission in additional jurisdictions (preferred)

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills

• Effective oral advocacy and courtroom presentation skills

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Capable of leading and mentoring support staff
