Job Overview:

A prominent law firm is seeking an Environmental Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in environmental, natural resources law, and litigation. This position requires a strong academic background, excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, along with experience in natural resources development, air and water quality, hazardous waste, and federal and state environmental regulations. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel in areas of environmental and natural resources law.
  • Handle cases related to air and water quality, hazardous and solid waste law.
  • Work on federal and state administrative agency laws and regulations.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including briefs and opinions.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on environmental laws.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Travel as needed for client meetings, court appearances, or hearings.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in environmental law, natural resources law, and litigation.
  • Education and practical experience in natural resources development, air/water quality, and hazardous waste law.
  • Ability to handle federal and state administrative agency laws.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel as required by the role.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado.
  • Admission to additional western state bars is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in interpreting environmental laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
